Summer Training in Classical Theatre Arts
We are excited to offer training this summer for students, ages 10-18, in Stage Combat, Classical Acting, and Renaissance Dance. These training sessions will run Mondays-Fridays, 9am-12pm, with students divided into three groups based on age and experience. Students will rotate through all 3 courses in 50-minute blocks, with 10-minute breaks in between. Tuition covers the cost of instruction, a souvenir t-shirt, and materials. Each block will conclude with a presentation for friends and family on the final day of the block.
All workshops are located at St. Joseph Catholic High School, 1790 Lake Street, Ogden, UT, 84401. All instructors are Safe Environment Certified through the Salt Lake Catholic Diocese. This certification includes a background check. These steps ensure the safety and security of all participants.
Tuition is $300 per student for one block. If you have a student who is deeply interested, but the cost is a hardship, please reach out to Jennifer Hughes at [email protected] to discuss the possibility of a scholarship. We can offer up to two scholarships per block thanks, in part, to a generous grant from Ogden City Arts. Scholarships will be awarded on a first-come basis as well as an audition and interview with the creative team.
Students may register for both blocks if they are interested. We will expand the curriculum for returning students.
